Cryopen - Cryotherapy & Map my Mole

Over time, small skin imperfections such as age spots, sun spots, skin tags and pigmentation can affect the smooth, clear look of your skin. CryoPen is a quick and effective way to restore a flawless finish – without surgery or invasive procedures.
What is CryoPen? - CryoPen uses advanced cryotherapy technology to target unwanted skin imperfections with extreme precision. A fine jet of nitrous oxide is applied directly to the area, freezing only the unwanted tissue while leaving surrounding skin untouched. This controlled process ensures minimal discomfort and maximum results.
How does CryoPen work? - The treatment works by delivering a focused stream of cold gas to the targeted area. This freezes the unwanted cells, causing them to naturally shed over time. Because the application is so precise, CryoPen is ideal for treating small, stubborn imperfections quickly and effectively.
What can CryoPen treat?
CryoPen is suitable for a wide range of common benign skin concerns, including:
Age spots and sun spots
Pigmentation marks
Skin tags
Warts
Small blemishes
Why choose CryoPen?
Fast and effective – most treatments take just seconds per area
Precise application – targets only the imperfection, protecting healthy skin
Minimal discomfort – no cutting, no stitches, no downtime
Safe and controlled – advanced technology for reliable results
Natural finish – imperfections fade as the skin renews itself
What to expect after treatment - The treated area may darken slightly before flaking away over the following days. This is a normal part of the process as your skin renews. Most clients see noticeable improvement after just one session, though some concerns may require a follow-up.
How many sessions will I need? - In most cases, a single treatment is enough. For larger or multiple imperfections, we may recommend a short course for best results.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to some of the most common questions we get asked about Cryopen
Can anyone have the treatment?
Yes. However, skin types and the location of the lesion should be considered carefully prior to treatment. Your practitioner will assess suitability during your consultation.
Is there a change for pigmentation after treatment?
Both hypopigmentation (lighter patches) and hyperpigmentation (darker patches) may occur after cryotherapy. These changes generally last a few months but can sometimes be longer lasting. Please discuss this with your practitioner before treatment.
What are the risks in darker skinned patients?
Melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) are highly sensitive to cold injury and can be easily damaged during cryotherapy. Dark-skinned patients should consider the risk of permanent pigment loss before proceeding.
Can children have CryoPen treatments?
Yes, children can have CryoPen treatments. However, parental consent is required.
What do patients experience during treatment?
Generally, little or no discomfort is experienced during the first few seconds.
Is the treatment painful?
At a penetration rate of 1 mm per 5 seconds, the ice will reach the depth of the lesion after a certain time. At this point, you may feel a pain sensation, which is usually the moment to stop treatment. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment.
Will there be scarring?
CryoPen typically leaves the least amount of scarring compared to other lesion removal methods because it causes minimal damage to connective tissue. Hypopigmented areas may appear initially but will darken over time as the skin tans naturally.
How long will the lesion take to heal?
Occasionally, a blister might form and persist for up to 5 days. After that, the lesion will scab over. Healing depends on the depth of the wound and usually occurs within 2–6 weeks, depending on the freeze time and location.
How many treatments are needed?
Most lesions respond to a single treatment. However, deeper lesions may require several more aggressive sessions to achieve the desired result.
How long will the results last?
For most lesions, cryotherapy provides permanent removal. Some lesions may be more resistant and harder to remove.
Will activities be limited after treatment?
There are no major limitations on activity, except to protect the treated area from damage or abrasion. Swimming and showering are generally fine.
What follow-up is necessary?
Follow-up appointments should be scheduled at 2-week intervals to monitor results and perform additional sessions if required.
